Hot young designer Esai deFromage was wrestled to the ground and handcuffed on the red carpet over the weekend at the Venice Film Festival by NYC police. The sting had it’s inception during NYC’s Fashion Week when suspicions arose that the dresses deFromage presented, were not actually original designs. In a collaborative effort with the Italian police and with assistance from Ms Deneuve, deFromage was charged with copyright infringement of Hanna-Barbara’s Flintstone collection. Deneuve was happy to take part in the sting when she first saw the dress and realized where she had seen it before. “I am an Icon. Not a cartoon!” she said with a lovely French accent. As she was led away Ms deFromage kept shouting “It’s Couture!!”
