The Two-Time Academy Award Nominee appears headed to Broadway if they can work out just one wrinkle. “I have been dreaming about playing Annie since I first saw her as a little girl” said Chastain. “But in my dream, Sandy is a Cat” and just one of 35 cats that Annie has picked up along the way, one for every year she has been an orphan.” It seems in her version of Annie, Daddy Warbucks rather quickly found her constant optimism annoying and gave her cab fare as he showed her the door. Since then, Annie has fended for herself, working part-time at Lindy’s and taking odd jobs in the theater district, while collecting cats she finds at stage doors. As the years passed and she accumulated too many cats, the odds of adoption became stacked against her, however, at 35 Annie remains, as ever, resilient and hopeful that there’s always Tomorrow. “What’s the problem?” laughed Jessica. “We know how much Broadway Loves CATS!”
