“I never actually imagined I would win a prize for it, but the truth is, I’ve been practicing this smile for years” said the bride. “I would stand in front of the mirror for hours and think, How do I want to look in my official wedding portrait? I didn’t want to just look happy! I would try a faraway dreamy look, a dewy-eyed visage if you will, a loving gaze into my husband’s eyes kind of look, a childlike innocent look or a look of unbridled joy. None of these seemed to work. So decided I would have to do a mash-up of a few different looks. I finally narrowed it down to a sexy, smug, self satisfied, yet appreciative, Uh Huh look what I got! kinda look.
