When Bill Clinton was running for President and wanted to reach out to the boomers, he found the perfect song from back in the 70’s, “Don’t Stop(thinking about tomorrow).“ The choice of a theme song was credited with giving Bill a 14% bump in the polls (full disclosure: that is a number FTM made up) with the largest voting demographic and it made presidential and music history. Not since “Happy Days Are Here Again” has a song helped, so significantly to carry a candidate into The White House. According to studies conducted by nobody in particular, many people voted for the song, as much as for Bill. It also reignited the career of Fleetwood Mac. Well, it looks like The Clintons have struck campaign magic (pun intended) once again, from another music powerhouse, The Police!

Bill explains, “Ah was relaxing at home makin’ a few phone calls and a mix tape while watchin’ I heart the 80’s when I heard it and I knew right away. That song IS Hillary! No one knows this, but “Magic” has always been my pet name for her since college. She casts a spell on you and next thing you know, you’re doing whatever the heck she wants! Ah know she will bring that special power to Washington. There’s also that cauldron in the basement,” he chuckled. “My other idea was ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany, but that just seemed to bring up some old issues.”

Meeting the rock star backstage, where he is appearing on Broadway in his show “The Last Ship” an agreement was reached, giving Hillary permission to use the song, as long as she stopped referring to him as “Mr. Sting.” Although Hillary has not yet officially announced her candidacy, insiders feel it is imminent, now that they have nailed down the all-important, campaign song.
