Thieves Steal Over $300,000 Worth Of Wine From French Laundry Restaurant. So Far No Clues!

gerarddepardieu

A Christmas Day robbery at Yountville’s storied French Laundry restaurant netted a king’s collection of fabulous wines worth at least $300,000.

The thieves, who jimmied a door at the wine room on the property, obviously knew exactly what they were going for. Most of the 76 bottles taken were from the Domaine de la Romanée Conti, including bottles from the fabled Burgundy estate’s Romanée Conti vineyard that are worth at least $15,000 each.

French Laundry chef and proprietor Thomas Keller took to Twitter, asking for help from the wine community in finding the thieves. He also mentioned a very touching, personal note of sympathy from French Wine Connoisseur Gerard Depardieu which simply read “C’est Dommage”  A shame it is indeed!

Clooney Buys Downton Abbey For Amal! Plans To Retain Most Of The Staff! Fascinating!

GeorgeDownton

“Anything for my bride!” says George Clooney, obviously, still very much in love with his wife after over 3 months of wedded bliss. “I saw her admiring Downtown Abbey on HGTV International House Hunters program and she seemed enthralled. The great news is that it comes with a staff, so there is a lot of fascinating back-story to get involved in. I think the world’s most fascinating person, deserves the most fascinating home, don’t you?” he queried. You know, I did think that was the Mill House on the island in the River Thames at Sonning Eye, when we purchased it in October, but she seems a bit bored with that already. I mean, she sewed up some nice drapes and curtains and pored through a rainbow of paint chips, but it’s just so hard to stay fascinated by anything, when you yourself are just so darn fascinating! Everything and everyone around you, starts to pale by comparison and you find yourself in a frenzy, trying to stay focused and get yourself motivated. It’s a heroin-addicted kind of existence. You’re always chasing the fascination horse with that damn fascination monkey perched on your lovely, delicate back. It’s quite a burden, being the most fascinating person in the world. Believe me, I’ve been there! And sexiest! Oh don’t get me started! My God, it is simply a damnable curse and it’s my job to help her through it, and if it takes a new home every month, so be it!. We’ve got a whole year ahead with this nightmare. I hope to God someone steps up to the plate and does something more fascinating to take the pressure off. Damn that Barbara Walters!”

Associated Press Poll Clarifies How Optimistic Americans Feel. Please Pay Attention!*

BestBritneyConfused

* Mary’s Note: This article is verbatim from AP

(WASHINGTON) — Americans are closing out 2014 on an optimistic note, according to a new Associated Press-Times Square Alliance poll. Nearly half predict that 2015 will be a better year for them than 2014 was, while only 1 in 10 think it will be worse. There’s room for improvement: Americans give the year gone by a resounding ‘meh.’

On a personal level, about a third (34 percent) think 2014 was better than 2013, while 15 percent say 2014 was worse and half see little difference. Slightly fewer feel their year was a step down from the previous one than said so in 2013, when an AP-Times Square poll found 20 percent thought 2013 was worse than 2012.

Americans are slightly more likely than they were a year ago to believe that the current year was better than the last for the United States— 30 percent say so this year, while 25 percent said so in 2013. On the other hand, Americans are more likely than in the 2013 poll to say this year was worse than last for the world as a whole, with 38 percent saying so now after 30 percent said so a year ago.

Got it? Are we clear now?
